Well, i have to say … after I finally arrived in Bangkok and survived the train experience of 10.5h … I would never ever do it again. I just had such a wonderful week at the shelter with amazing lovely people and dogs around me, which made it even much harder to leave this place …  I will miss u all so much! Part of the elephant nature park is also a dog shelter. Therefore after doing a week of elephant volunteering I decided to do also a week at the dog shelter. They do have around 400 dogs they have to take care of every day (big and small ones). This means a lot of work in terms of cleaning, feeding, walking, socializing and medicate. After the sun set, the park turns into a quite place. The elephants, water buffalos and all the other animals are back in their shelter …  Beside having nice chats with the other volunteers, it’s also amazing to enjoy the peace and enjoy the sky full of stars and the sound of the night …

The so called elephant walk is far the best ‘job’ here 😁 you get a walk with the guides through the park while they tell you the stories about the elephants – what happened to them, how old they are, etc. They do have around 74 elephants in the park.
