So, today I headed off to Melbourne… well, so I decided to hopp off the bus in Canberra. If I am passing the city anyway… why not have a look at the capital ๐Ÿ˜ I have to say, there is not too much to see … anyway, I had a nice day walking to the parliament house … and visiting the National Museum of Australia where they just had the special exhibition… Read More

It supposed to clear up today. So I took the bus to Bondi Beach and started my costal walk to Coogee. As promised, the sky turned blue and the sun was shining! ๐Ÿ˜ It is a easy walk along the coast. But the views you will experience during this 6km are amazing! Beside watching out for surfers at some of the beaches, listening to the sound of braking waves, you also walk… Read More

Today the climbing got to reality! Yeah! A bit chilly in the morning but the sun came out soon and made it just a perfect day – not to warm / not to cold. After we got our equipment, we drove around 20′ to our spot of action! Our routes got installed by our guide, while we enjoyed the fabulous Lookout! After getting a refresher on safety and handling etc. it was… Read More

Blue sky and sun – just a big invitation for going to a hike. So we walked up to the Echo Lookout to see the famous rock formation ‘Three Sisters’. From there we walked along the ‘Prince Henry Cliff Walk’ up to ‘Scenic World Top Station’. We went down into The Valley by cable car. Nice views are assured… From down there we walked along the valley (great round walk/federal pass) till… Read More

Ken & Miriam offered me to do a boat tour on the Swan River! What a fantastic idea!  Kenโ€˜s mum also joined and we spend a great day on the river cruising down to Freemantle Harbour and back! Beside the many sailing boats, we also spotted some dolphins and black swans!  The trip gave me another beautiful view of Perth! It was also lovely to talk to Kenโ€˜s mum since her parents… Read More

Miriam and Ken took me on this day to Margaret River – the hot spot for wineries and surfing. Well, the surfing we just left out – we had not enough time ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Anyhow, the drive is quite a bit (260km one way). But its absolutely beautiful around Margaret River. Everything is green. Cows and sheeps are roaming around and the vineyards are just the best of it ๐Ÿ˜ After having… Read More

Well the amazing Exmouth-tour is over and I am back in Perth … so why not exploring more of the great WA!? Today I had Rottnest Island on my list ๐Ÿ˜  A short ferry ride from Freemantle (also possible from Perth and Hillarys) and you are on a magnificent little island – Rottnest! On Tuesday you get it even for half the price from Freemantle! As said, I did so today with… Read More

Once again an early start @ 6am … but we had this already; me and early starts never get friends ๐Ÿ˜ Even the sunrise at the harbour was breathtaking… However, after the bus broke down, we got a free coffee! I was so happy about that! ๐Ÿ˜ with around an hour delay and a new bus, we took off to our private jumping crocodile cruise on the Adelaide River. Our tour guide… Read More

After Gili Air we just moved by speed boat and shuttle bus to the well known Ubud. The options of tours is never ending. We chose to go for a water temple blessing  at Tirta Empul Temple early in the morning, visit of a famous lubak farm and getting a view of the rice fields. Start was at 7.30am to make sure we get there before all the other tourists arrive. Even… Read More

Well, i have to say … after I finally arrived in Bangkok and survived the train experience of 10.5h … I would never ever do it again. Beside the time, its not really a comfortable train (at least not the one I was in), extremely cold (AC on 18* all the time).  The landscape is nice though… but after an hour of watching the very nice green landscape you are done with… Read More
