Day 15 – Margaret River

Miriam and Ken took me on this day to Margaret River – the hot spot for wineries and surfing. Well, the surfing we just left out – we had not enough time 😂 😬

Anyhow, the drive is quite a bit (260km one way). But its absolutely beautiful around Margaret River. Everything is green. Cows and sheeps are roaming around and the vineyards are just the best of it 😁

After having the long drive behind us, we got some lunch at ‚Brewhouse Margaret River‘… was a nice break to stretch … and our dishes were delicious!

Wineries & Breweries

Next stop was the ‚Madfish‘ winery where we tasted some of their very nice wines. Further down the road we did a second tasting (Driftwood winery)… there are just so many, it’s really hard to decide for which to go!

Beautiful wineries all over

We also went to the ‘Surfer Point’ to watch the surfers! The waves were incredible… we guessed a 3-4m heigh … maybe? Not sure, but for a 100% not a spot for beginners 😁

Watching out for Surfers 🏄

Right on time for sunset we reached Busselton and walked the longest jetty in the Southern Hemisphere (3.6km in total).

Walking the Busselton Jetty

It really sounds boring now, but it was another great day in WA Australia 🙈😁 Thanks to Miriam & Ken!
